This 15-week online program featuring the coaching of Andrew Kastor is accessible from any computer at any time. Whether you're a first-time marathoner or a seasoned veteran, the official ING New York City Marathon online training plan will help you meet your race-day goals. NYRR’s Marathon Training Packages
Thanks to the new early-spring date of the lottery drawing, runners accepted to run the ING New York City Marathon can start training earlier than ever before, with two comprehensive packages designed to meet the needs of runners of all levels. You can use the programs to prepare for the ING New York City Marathon or another fall marathon.


The packages include Wednesday-night sessions that consist of training lectures, Q& A, and one-hour training runs; Tuesday- or Thursday-night speed training; official training gear; and more. The programs begin in May and/or August and are directed by longtime NYRR Running Classes program directors and best-selling authors Bob and Shelly Glover. Classes
New York Road Runners offers a variety of classes to help you keep fit throughout the year. Leaders in their fields have designed our four- to 10-week classes to help you meet your fitness goals. There's an appropriate class for everyone, from non-runners to elite racers. These classes are also great ways to meet new training partners. All are taught by expert instructors in group settings at Manhattan venues. [Classes]


Basic Training Program
These training programs were created by Bob and Shelly Glover, best-selling authors and the founders/directors of NYRR Running Classes. Six sample schedules, from First-time Marathoner to Advanced Marathoner, are presented in a printable format. With lots of useful advice and answers to frequently asked questions, these programs can help marathoners at all levels achieve their goals in the ING New York City Marathon—or any other 26.2-miler. Course Strategy
After months of training -- all those miles, long runs, speed sessions, and aches and pains -- the start of the ING New York City Marathon is upon us. Some of us have already conquered the five boroughs by completing the Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island events of the NYRR Half-Marathon Grand Prix.
